Australasian Construction has operated since 1995 and has performed various forms of remediation  on a number of projects, we have adapted and overcome technicalities with efficiency and effectiveness driving the project to successful completion, some examples of the projects we've performed remediation are named below,

Subgrade Remediation Services

At Australasian Construction, we specialize in subgrade remediation to ensure a stable foundation for long-lasting infrastructure. Subgrade refers to the native soil beneath roads, pavements, or building pads—and if it's weak, reactive, or contaminated, it must be properly treated before construction begins.

Our remediation process involves identifying and correcting deficiencies in the existing subgrade, which may include:

  • Unsuitable and/or Oversized Material

  • Moisture imbalances

  • Expansive or reactive clays

  • Contamination (e.g., heavy metals, hydrocarbons)

  • Poor bearing capacity

Material Processing Capabilities

We operate a fleet of mobile screens and crushers, enabling us to process oversized or unsuitable material directly on-site. 

  • Minimizes haulage and disposal costs

  • Allows reuse of screened or crushed material as engineered fill

  • Reduces environmental impact by lowering import/export volumes

  • Improves construction efficiency and turnaround times

Our Approach Includes:

  • Screening and crushing of unsuitable or oversized material on-site

  • Geotechnical assessment and site investigation

  • Soil improvement using lime, cement, or blended stabilizers

  • Contaminated soil management, including immobilization agents or removal

  • Moisture conditioning and compaction control

  • Recompaction or replacement of unsuitable materials​​

CONTAMINATION/ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION

Remediation with Rembind®

Australasian Construction used Rembind® as a proven solution for the remediation of PFAS-contaminated soils. PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are persistent environmental pollutants that can pose significant risks to human health and ecosystems.

Rembind® is a proprietary soil amendment designed to immobilize PFAS compounds, preventing them from leaching into groundwater. When mixed with contaminated soil, Rembind binds PFAS molecules, locking them in place and reducing their mobility to below regulatory thresholds.
