Project Summary

Australasian Construction was awarded the subcontract by Dzine Construction Group for the completion of civil works adjacent to Adelaide Airport for the new facility (~64,000 sqm) which is part of the planned freight and logistics hub for Adelaide Airport East Precinct. The scope of work for the project consisted of bulk earthworks, heavy-duty concrete pavement (~21,000 sqm) & light-duty bitumen car park (~10,000 sqm). Our specialized range of in-house machinery was used to meet the Client's needs for sub-grade and pavement layers to be filled and trimmed to various design RLs and within +/-10 mm tolerance. All works were inclusive of fill under Level 1 Supervision and pavement rubble.

Construction Summary

  • Cut to fill of sub-grade to design RLs.

  • Place, compact and final trim of pavement rubble across the site to design RLs.

  • Compaction of all layers achieved with the use of pad foot & smooth drum vibrating roller.

  • Sub-grade final trim for building pad ~24,000 sqm achieved by specialized machinery with inbuilt GPS and laser-capable positioning systems.
